He served in Royal Military College of Canada for Training.
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1952).
He served in HMCS Star.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1954).
In 1954 he served in HMCS Star. (He was released 1958.)
Anecdotes
Bill Clearihue reports that "There are some missing pieces in the record, including his RR/RMC Cadet Number, and his promotion to SLT, but he was promoted to LT RCN(R), sen. 1 May '54, O-13002, attached to HMCS Star.
By 1960 he was on the Ret'd List attached to YORK. Those MALAHAT (RR) who started in 1949, were not issued U-numbers, those from 1950 on, were issued U-numbers.
He had 3 UNTD summers training; 1950, 1951, 1952. The first 2 while at Royal Roads, the last one while at RMC."
