He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1953.
In 1953 - 1956 he served in HMCS Prevost for UNTD. SLT RCN(R) 01/07/1956, Surg LT RCN(R), A/LT(MED) 01/05/1958, SURG LT RCN(R) 01/06/1957 (He was released.)
