It was established in 1908 it was jointly owned in 1995 by Canfor Corp. (50%) and New Oji Paper (Tokyo) (50%). With 635 employees in 1995 they produce bleached softwood kraft pulp and newsprint.
In 1995 they were the third largest mill in BC.
