轶事
It was originally purchased by John Payne in 1881. The Oak Bay Race Track was established there in 1885, and in 1887 the City of Victoria constructed fairground buildings. they were all burned in a fire in 1907. The buildings were rebuilt. The fairgrounds were purchased in 1948 by Oak Bay and horse racing was stopped there.
