Biografía
He joined the British Merchant service in 1851.
He served in the transport Kenn the Crimean War.
He served in the transport Waterwitch in the inese War 1857.
He entered the Hudson's Bay Co. as a seaman in the Princess Royal.
He arrived on the Pacific Coast in 1861.
He transferred to the Coast Service and was Quartermaster and Mate in the Otter.
He was in charge of the wharf at Victoria and then the warehouse and fur department. (He retired in 1905.)
