Anecdotes
They were established in 1864 to undertake an expedition to prospect the Cowichan River, Cowichan Lake to the headwaters of the Chemainus River. It was composed of: Major Boswell, J. Laurie, J.W. McDonnel, Tomo and Kakalatza.
