Anecdotes
It was located at Prince George BC it was established in 1966. It was owned in 1995 by Noranda Forest Inc. (50%) and Mead Corp. (50%). and employed 670 people. It produces bleached kraft pulp. Penticton Sawmills, controlled by the Leir family in Penticton, was sold to Northwoood .
They established a sawmill in Okanagan Falls in 1971 while retaining the Penticton Mill.The Penticton operation was destroyed by fire in 06/1977. The operation was closed and the Okanagan Falls Mill was sold to Weyerhaueser Canada Ltd. in 1978.
