In 1919 Captain Frank E. Lovejoy leased and then purchased the Chaco.
In 1921 they operated on the Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia route.
In 1929 they bought the Merchants Transportation Co.
They eventually seperated into Puget Sound Freight and Ferry Lines and the Capitol Line.
