He arrived in Vancouver BC in 1893.
In 1896 he taught school in Hawaii.
He moved to Revelstoke in 1896.
In 1897 he was the President and largest shareholder in the Revelstoke Water, Light and Power Co.
He was an Alderman of the City of Revelstoke 1901, 1902, 1923.
He moved to Vancouver BC in 1924.
軍歴
In 1898 he was Captain of the Revelstoke Company of the HMCS Kootenay Rifles.
In 1901 he was appointed as the recruiting officer for a Revelstoke contingent of the Canadian Yeomanry. In the First World War he served as a Captain in the 54th HMCS Kootenay Battalion.
He was appointed as a Major.
