He was a Belgian Jesuit Priest.
In 1845 he was headqartered on the lwer Columia River but travelled via Coville WT, the Kootenay River and Columbia Lake to cross the Rockies and on to Jasper House.
He returned by the Athabasca Pass and Boat Encampment.
He travelled down through the Arrow Lakes to establish St. Peter's Mission in 1846.
