He served in Naval Control of Shipping (NCS) Course 1965.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1965). (He was retired 01/05/1966.) (He rejoined the RCN(R) on 01/11/1969).
He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (NR) (With seniority dated 01/01/1976).
He served in HMCS Brunswicker as Executive Officer 1977.
