Biografía
He came to Canada in 1909 and entered the banking profession in 1915.
In 1919 on his return to Canada he was the Manager and Director of the Okanagan Loan & Investment Trust Co. in Kelowna BC.
He was a Director of the Crown Fruit Co. and the Rowcliffe Ranches and St. Michael's School in Vernon BC.
Servicio militar
He enlisted in the 47th Battalion and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in 1917 and promoted to Captain in 1918.
He was wounded twice.
