He graduated in 1938 with a commerce degree from McGill University.
He was qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Militärdienst
He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 09/01/1940). (Mobilized for World War Two service 03/03/1940).
He served in HMCS Stone Frigate (Second Course) for Training 1940.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR c1942.
He served in HM MGB-78 in 1942. (He was killed on 02/10/1942 when HMC MGB-78 was hit by surface craft gunfire off Holland, beached and abandoned.)
