Biography
He arrived in Victoria from San Francisco in 1858. Shortly afterward he went into partnership with James Carswell and they purchased an existing stationery and book business to 1866. Hibben bought out his partner and operated alone afterwards.
He married Janet Parker Brown on 21/01/1864.
He was a stationer in Victoria BC and he was the first agent for Admiralty charts in BC.
