He was appointed as a Commissioned Communications Officer RCN (With seniority dated 15/03/1957).
He served in HMCS Stadacona for Communications course.
He served in HMCS Chaleur 1957.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 08/08/1958).
He served in HMCS Aldergrove as Commanding Officer 1963-1965. (He transferred to RAN).
He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (RAN). (He was released.)
