He served in HMAS Cresswell 1968.
He was appointed as a Midshipman RAN (With seniority dated 01/09/1969).
He served in HMAS Sydney 1971.
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (RAN).
He was appointed as a Lieutenant RAN.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RAN. (He served on exchange from the RAN to the CAF).
He served in HMCS Okanagan (In command) 1984-85. (He was returned to the RAN for service)
