伝記
He was the brother of A.W. McVittie.
He was educated at Upper Canada College in Toronto.
He worked in railway and township surveys in Ontario before coming to BC in 1879.
He became a surveyor in Galbraith's Ferry (later Fort Steele).
He was made Justice of the Peace there in 1888.
He married Anna Galbraith in 1899.
He was buried in Edmonton AB.
