Biografía
He was the son of Richard Hartnell.
He was the father of Richard Hartnell.
He was a Director of Mainland Lumber and Shingle Co.
He owned the Hammond Cedar Co. The company was taken over, in 1946, by British Columbia Forest Products.
He was an avid yachtsman and was the Commodore of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club in 1966-1967.
