In 1964-89 he was apointed to the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 21/11/1941).
He served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment) 1942.
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 10/11/1942) (later backdated to 1941).
He served in NSHQ on the staff of the Directorate of Warfare and Training 1943.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCNVR. (He was demobilized.)
