Biografía
He was a Captain in the 31st Battalion.
In 1888 he organized the Owen Sound Portland Cement Co. and assisted in establishing the Lakefield Portland Cement Co. at Lakefield ON.
In 1904 he came to BC. Managing Director of the Vancouver Portland Cement Company Ltd. A Director of Evans, Coleman and Evans.
He owned the cement manufacturing plant on Tod Inlet.
He established the Alberta Portland Cement Co. of Calgary in 1907 and assisted in the establishment of the Lakefield Portland Cement Co. at Montreal PQ.
He married Jennie Foster Kennedy of Toronto.
