Biografie
She completed her basic nursing education at the Victoria Hospital, London ON, received a Certificate in Public Health Nursing from the University of Western Ontario, a Diploma of Advanced Public Health Nursing from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lakehead University and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina.
She was the founding Principal of the College of Nursing at University of Malawi.
She was a Visiting Professor at McMaster University.
She received the Award of Merit from Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario 1992.
Militärdienst
She was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (NS) RCN(R).
She was promoted to Lieutenant (NS) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 05/03/1955).
In 1963 she served in HMCS Griffon. (She was released.) She was appointed as the Honorary Lieutenant Colonel 18th (Thunder Bay) Medical Company.
