Biografía
He was the third generation to join the family firm of P.R. Brown & Sons Ltd. In real estate and insurance until his retirement in 1990. During his 46 year career he served as president of the Victoria Real Estate Board and the Insurance Brokers Association of BC; was an elected member of the BC Real Estate Council and was a Notary Public in Victoria for over 30 years.

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1943)(Later backdated to 1942).
He served in HMC ML-107 (In command) 1943. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) on the retired list. (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
