He was appointed as a Petty Officer RNCVR. (CFR) He was appointed as a Mate RNCVR (With seniority dated 09/03/1918) In 1918 he served in HMCS Niobe as Additional. (Transferred to RCNVR).
He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 21/03/1923).
He served in the Commanding Officer Ottawa Half Company RCNVR 1923. (He was demobilized.)
