Murray Polson wrote in 2012, "I found #308 swinging at her hook in Ucluelet harbour on Tuesday 10 July. She is an ex–Canadian Naval Auxiliary YAG (Yard Auxiliary General). She was sold at auction by the Crown Assets Disposal on June 11, 2012. " The Cougar was built by Withey’s Shipyard, on Gabriola Island in 1954.
