Gino Stradiotti (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 26/11/2020) stated "In the late 1930s and early 1940s the Stradiotti brothers were in the fishing and fish packing business. The packer Carolina Maria foundered, which resulted in the loss of the four man crew - in December 1944. Henry Stradiotti (Capt), Bill McKay, Jack McLeod, and Colin Low. The packer never sank, was salvaged, and was sold."
