In 1907 this vessel was fitted with radio equipment. This vessel was equipped with a Nordenfeldt machine gun for fisheries service. In 1911 this vessel was damaged by fire. In 1914 this vessel was damaged by fire after a storm. In 1914 this vessel was completely rebuilt at Hawaii. In 1915, in a dark period of her history, this vessel was employed in kidnapping and enslaving Pacific islanders. |
