Anecdotes
On February 09, 1896, while under command of Captain Michael Hare, this vessel struck a reef near Reid Island BC. This vessel was intending to pick up a cargo of cordwood. AS this vesselapproached the shore this vesselhit a rock. The crew went ashore for a meal while they waited for the tide to turn. It was there that they realized the vessel was burning and this vesselsoon sank and was declared a total loss. They crew travelled to Chemainus in a small boat. Her engine was salvaged and used in another vessel.
