Anecdotes
Alvin Cober writes (20/02/2016) that "I work for the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations here in Queen Charlotte, B.C. I was the project manager on the Evco Barge Removal Project on Haida Gwaii in the summer of 2015. The goal was to remove the Evco 39 barge off the foreshore of Bearskin Bay within the Village of Queen Charlotte. The old Evco 39 hull was cut into 10 units in July and all 10 units were then lifted off the shore with a hydraulic crane on September 15, 2015. Final demolition and disposal was just completed this month."
