Anecdotes
This vessel was a Navaids Tender (Type 700), Special River. Her steel hull subdivided into six transverse bulkheads and two continuous longitudinal bulkheads. It was built primarliy for the installation and maintenance of aids to navigation on the Mackenzie Waterway. This provides for a large cargo hold at the forward end and an engine room and dry stores. The deckhouse is built of aluminum and provides accomodation for four crew members on the main deck and individual cabins for the master, chief engineer and a VIP on the upper deck. This vessel was powered by Finning Marine. which gave her a capability of 13.6kts. This vessel also had a 5 tonne Hiab crane mounted on the forecastle.
