Anecdotes
On August 14, 1947 this fishing scout boat exploded at Duncansby Landing in Rivers Inlet BC while taking on gasoline. The two members of the crew, Harold Malm (manager of the Margaret Bay fishplant) and J. Tynjala (cook/deckhand) were hurled into the water by the force of the explosion. They had been enroute to the Goose Bay fishplant at the time of the incident and the vessel was only a few weeks old having been launched by the builders.
