In 1944 she was owned by the Royal Canadian Air Force Marine Division. She served as a tender to HMCS Star in Hamilton ON Canada. In 1946 she was owned by the Minister of National Defence, Ottawa ON, acquired by the Royal Canadian Air Force for service with the Western Air Command Marine Squadron based at Vancouver BC Canada. In 1972-2011 she was owned by Richard Mallnowski, Hamilton ON Canada.

Anecdotes
Shae was stationed by the RCAF at Vancouver, BC and transferred to Halifax in 1946. The RCN employed her as a tender to HMCS Patriot in Hamilton ON. On 05/08/1947 this vessel was struck from the Canadian Register of Shipping. On 25 Sep 1972 re-registered under the name “Susan M II".
