Anecdotes
This vessel carried three engines originally: 2 - 180bhp 6-cylinder diesel engines Atlas Imperial Gas Engine Co. San Francisco CA USA (1929) and 1 – 100bhp gasoline engine Marine High Speed Engine Co., Los Angeles, CA. (1929) . On June 5, 1939 this vessel was carryng the Wee Yoy as deck cargo when this vessel was washed off the deck at Cape Beale BC. This vessel is said to have functioned as a rum runner in 1929 and fitted with two 450hp Liberty gasoline engines. (Miles, Fraser (1992)). This vessel formed part of the pre-war Fishermen’s Reserve Fleet. This vessel was mobilized 15 Sep 1939. In 1940 this vessel was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy Fisherman's Reserve. In 1942 this vessel was a tender to H.M.C.S. Givenchy. In 1943 this vessel was a tender to H.M.C.S. Givenchy II. In 1944 this vessel was a tender to H.M.C.S. Givenchy. This vessel undertook examination duties at York Island. This vessel sank on September 28, 1951 at Beaver Pass, BC.
