Anecdotes
Warren Green reports that "This vessel was built for my father, Philip Teasdale Green, for his retirement. The name Romancer was an adaptation of the name of his fathers retirement boat, Romance. My father (aged 17 or so) accompanied my grandfather and John Hunter on the maiden voyage of Romance from Hong Kong to Vancouver in 1935. After my father died in 1983 my mother kept the boat for several years and sold it around 1985. This past summer my own sons were returning from a fishing charter and spotted Romancer alongside at a dock near Pender Harbour."
