The hull is double-skinned on the sides and bottom and this vessel is constructed so that there are no oil tanks situated against the hull for safety precautions. The hull is a straight-line barge configuration with a hard chine, flat-bottom, spoon-shapped bow and a raked stern. As a supply ship and anchor handling vessel equipped to carry deck cargo this vessel is designed to load and unload on land by use of a hinged bow ramp 15' wide and 30' long. A stern anchor is dropped before beaching so the vessel can be winched off the beach after unloading cargo. This vessel provided support service to the drill ships in the Western Arctic and Beaufort Sea. This vessel carries six bulk cement tanks, each with a capacity of 1,500 cubic feet, located on the deck in front of the superstructure. The ship has ten single cabins and one double cabin, a modern galley, lounge areas for the crew and a sauna.
