Anecdotes
This vessel was taken to Arctic by Captain Hugh Gillen. In 1941-1943 this vessel was distributing to and inspection of Western Arctic Posts, Tuktoyaktuk as base. In 1948-1951 this vessel was serving the Western Arctic from Cambridge Bay, Reid Island wintering spots. This vessel was replaced by the Nechilik. This vessel was eventually crushed in the ice, near Richardson Island (Victoria Land), in the 1952c while under command of her master Johnny Norberg.
