Anecdotes |
---|
In 1892 used between Fort McMurray Alberta and Fort Fitzgerald NWT until about the beginning of World War One. Some sources say it was built at Fort Chipewyan but others say this vessel was built at Athabasca Landing from lumber cut in the Church's sawmill there to provide an alternative to high freight rates charged by the Hudson's Bay Company. This vessel was an Oblate Order mission ship, on the Athabasca, Peace and upper Slave Rivers. |
