Anecdotes |
---|
In late June 2021 his vessel hit a rock in Page Pass. This vessel was partially submerged, with the water level remaining just below the gunnels but was raised in less than an hour. Matthew Villemure (Email to Nauticapedia 10/11/2021) stated "We have had the hull damage repaired by Abernethy & Gaudin. I have rebuilt the engines myself, they are 2012 7.4 L MPI‘s with Borg Warner transmissions and gear reduction boxes. The boat is back in the water and moored in Brentwood Bay BC." Judy McFarlen (Email to Nauticapedia 06/05/2024) stated "I saw an ad on Marketplace for a 40 foot Grenfell, the Nauti Gal IV. I believe she is the vessel my father owned in the early 1980s and kept in his boathouse at Captain's Cove Marina. As there is no information on who owned her between 1980-82, I believe it was my father. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 94 years and sold his last boat, a Puget Trawler around 2014. His name was Dr. Gordon Minty. I am his daughter Judy McFarlen." |
