Anecdotes |

Hull- wood. Frames- wood. Decks- wood. Cabin- wood. (In 1990 this vessel was designated as a British Columbia Vintage Vessel by the Maritime Museum of British Columbia.) Gary Carpenter Reported that "I've restored the original name (it had been the Godfather for years) and this year I am removing the fishing gear that was installed years ago as well (mast, boom, stabilizers). I liveaboard so the house will remain. When I purchase it in Sointula, BC, the pumps ran constantly. Since purchasing, I've hauled, replaced several waterline planks, and refastened the entire bottom and recorked 90%. This year, I am replacing several above waterline planks, refastening and recorking above the waterline. I had to cover the decks (too old to get them watertight) but now it's bone dry inside and the pumps only come on occasionally when underway. I upgraded the transmission but the 1960's Cat engine runs well--and will likely outlive me." Guy Rosinbaum (Email to Nauticapedia 20/11/2021) stated "Arrow Post is now owned by Guy and Elaine Rosinbaum. As of Dec 2021 completed minor refit (paint, electronics) and will winter over in Blaine WA with cruise plans for 2022." |
