Anecdotes
On July 31, 1977 this vessel collided with the freighter Californian and sank in Juan de Fuca Strait (in US waters). Captain Bruce Petrie and Paul Legallais, and Richard Gauthier were rescued. They had just sold a catch and were heading out when they saw two freighters six miles distant. Visibility was limited in heavy fog. They turned and headed for shore and the Californian also turned and ran over them.
